The nationally syndicated television show to feature Coral Ridge Country Club, one of South Florida’s most iconic golf clubs.
Greater Fort Lauderdale is known for its stunning beaches, miles, and miles of waterways, including mind-blowing mansions and mega-yachts of Millionaires’ Row. It is also home to one of South Florida’s best layouts in Coral Ridge Country Club.
Many have called Coral Ridge the “crown jewel” of Fort Lauderdale and rightly so. Its 18 holes of championship golf is a timeless masterpiece designed by Robert Trent Jones, Sr. in 1954. In 2020, his son Rees Jones, the famed golf course architect known as the “Open Doctor” was given the task to restore one of his father’s favorite designs.
“Rees did an admirable job of maintaining the classic runway style tee boxes, which was a signature of his father’s design work, plus he kept the integrity of his father’s green complexes”, says Golf America’s Executive Producer Alan Hunter. “He had a lot of first-hand knowledge to draw from since this was a course that not only did his father design but a club the family-owned and operated for nearly five decades”.
As the only private club in Fort Lauderdale, Coral Ridge Country Club is just a stone’s throw away from the beach. This non-equity club is the core of the surrounding community and offers genuine friendliness, a laid-back atmosphere, and a membership that enjoys every moment they are on the property.

Rees Jones On Camera Our interview with Rees Jones takes a look back at his time spent at Coral Ridge as a young man and what it meant to him when he was called upon to restored a golf course that meant so much to both his father and mother. |
